Once you own these mortgage notes, you have the opportunity to work directly with the borrower to help them keep their homes. That is my favorite strategy! However, sometimes that isn't always possible. The borrower may want to leave and sign the home back over to you. Other times, you may have to foreclose. Foreclosure can be costly, time-consuming, and very difficult on everyone. No one wins except for the attorneys!
