Mortgage lender housing finance has announced a 63 percent growth in profit before tax for the period ending december 31st, 2013.
During the period housing finance posted 1.4 billion shillings in profit up from 907 million shillings a year earlier.
Diversification of its products during the year saw the lender's non-interest income grow to 3.9 billion shillings from 2.2 billion shillings while interest income stood at 5.4 billion shillings. Deposits grew to 26.5 billion shillings while its loan book grew to 35.2 billion shillings.housing finance says it is in the process of introducing forex asset and current account products as it seeks to diversify its portfolio further.
