Hi, I'm Dan Eveland with mortgage rates for
Thursday October 25th 2018. Hope you're
having a good day. We are having about
the same day as yesterday with the
mortgage-backed securities not really
losing much or gaining anything. We're
testing that ceiling which is a good
sign with the stock market having a
little bit better day than yesterday.
It's positive, it's something that
typically happens after a large sell-off
like we saw yesterday, but the good thing
is that the mortgage-backed securities
markets didn't lose what we had gained
even though the stock market is
positive. So, it's a good sign consumer
goods missed expectations and that's
a sign too that the economy might be
slowing down. So, I think long-term, we're
going to see lower interest rates and that's
kind of what a lot of the sentiment is
out there right now. Short-term if you're
happy with your rate, I would lock it in.
