So last we talked about a huge industry wide problem, Wire Fraud! The RE Source Nation heard us and shared the show like crazy! RC and I were looking into the analytics of the show and here’s a quick snap shot of the viralbilty of last week’s show. Those are all reposts and separate shares of the show that all spawned new comments, likes, threads and conversations and it’s still going! That video continues to scroll for over two minutes! Thank you for sharing! I am confident that we brought awareness to the issue and I know for fact, consumers were educated and I also know Lenders, Realtors and Title companies are working to prevent future wire fraud – tightening security and adding wire fraud prevention measures as we speak! This is awesome and exactly what the industry needs! I honestly think we will look back at our current method of money transfer and say the same thing that we did about Zero Down Sated Loans! Wow that was not smart – of course things went sideways! DuH! I mean think about it. The borrower receives a 9-digit number, hopefully by the Escrow company and not a hacker and then the borrower transfers their massive down payment via the inter webs and trusts that 1. The money arrives and isn’t lost in internet, digital deep space and 2. It’s sent to the correct person! It’s a new technology called Blockchain! And I’ll be honest, I’m still learning about it myself but from what I understand it seems like a possible solution to our massive wire fraud problem not to mention solves several other issues as well! RC and I looked all over the internet to find the best, most simplified explanation of this technology and I’m telling it wasn’t easy. Its so new and complex, most of the explanation videos were hard to follow but we found one. Here you go! Again, I am certainly NOT that the authority on the matter and I am still learning about this technology but I also know we have a big problem with wire fraud and know this could very easily be the solution and maybe even the future of the Industry! Guys, I know we are early on this but we are curious to hear your thoughts on Blockchain and if you understand better than we do. If so, please feel free to chime in and explain! Questions are welcome too, we will do our best to find the answers!
