Mortgage backed securities (bonds) are trading at 102.03 today. they're under a lot of pressure from reports released today such as Trade Balances and Non-Farm Payroll. It's important we maintain $102.00 or we could be paying an additional 1/2 point for that rate we want. On the other had, if MBSs bounce back, we could be getting that rate we want for almost a point cheaper. Analysts' stance is neutral with feelings that things will get worse before they get better.
